Selected changes, not a win-rate ranking

Three concrete changes

ChampionSelected official change
Aurelion SolQ mana cost per second reduced by 5 at each rank; W cooldown at rank 5 changes from 16 to 14 seconds.
GravesQ initial bonus-AD ratio: 65% → 55%.
IreliaQ AD ratio: 70% → 80%.

This is a selected set from Riot’s 26.17 notes, not a full patch reproduction.

What a scaling change actually tells you

A reduced bonus-AD ratio is not a claim that every attack deals ten percent less damage. It describes one part of one ability’s calculation. Likewise, a cooldown change at maximum rank is not the same as an identical change from the first level. Keep the changed component and the rank next to the number when evaluating a patch headline.

Our interpretation is that these details are more useful for setting a practice goal than for instantly declaring a champion unplayable or overpowered. A player’s build, timing and matchup still determine the situation in which the changed component matters.

Separate the modes in a long patch note

The same official document includes sections for other modes, including Classic and Arena. A familiar champion name appearing further down does not mean every listed adjustment applies to the mode you queue for. Read the surrounding heading before saving an item recommendation or copying a build.

Try one deliberate change

For your next session, choose one question related to your own champion: whether a resource limit changes how you trade, or whether a familiar damage expectation now needs adjustment. Compare the same kind of situation and avoid changing your entire build at once. The patch gives values; it does not supply a verified win-rate ranking, and this article does not invent one.
